All eyes are on American sprinter Noah Lyles.
After winning gold in the 100-meter dash in a dramatic photo finish, Lyles is set to compete in the 200-meter final on Thursday. If Lyles can complete the sprint double, he will become the first American to win gold in the 100 and 200 races in the same Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the current world record holder in the 400-meter hurdles, is a heavy favorite to win a gold medal in the event on Thursday, as is Grant Holloway in the 110-meter hurdles.
